Weathervane Seafoods Golf Tournament to Benefit Make-A-Wish

The 24th Annual Weathervane Seafoods Charity Golf Tournament was held at The Oaks, on Tuesday, September 15th

Somersworth, NH -The 24th Annual Weathervane Seafoods Charity Golf Tournament was held at The Oaks, on Tuesday, September 15th.  The money raised from this year’s tournament benefited the Make-A-Wish Maine and Make-A-Wish NH, these organizations help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

In 2014 the event raised over $14,000 due to the generosity of our vendors and golfers. Raffle tickets, mulligans and putting strings were purchased by the 120 golfers that participated this year, as well as chances at the 50/50 putting contest.

Jeremy Gagner, Chief Operating Officer and grandson of Weathervane Seafoods founders Ray and Bea Gagner, commented that “Over the past 10 years we have raised well over $100,000 for Make-A-Wish.  We are very happy to host a golf tournament which builds awareness for Make-A-Wish and enables deserving children to experience a special hope or dream. It is a pleasure to grant wishes to the children and families of our local communities at their greatest time of need.  We couldn’t have done it without the support of our employees and industry partners. I look forward to building on this success next year.”
