The Weathervane Seafood Restaurant is the perfect place to bring your family, but not every visit has to be with parents, grandparents, uncles or aunts. At the Weathervane, we not only value family, but we know how important it is to spend time with friends. For those special gatherings, we created the perfect recipe for casual fun at our seafood restaurants across Maine and New Hampshire.
The bars at Weathervane restaurants are relatively new upgrades to our restaurants. Starting in 1998, now COO and third generation operator of Weathervane Seafood Restaurants, Jeremy Gagner, began renovating the flagship location in Kittery, ME to accommodate a 30 seat social centerpiece with a dozen beer taps and three televisions for gameday viewing. The transformation that took place was exciting for guests and staff, and due to the success in the Kittery, ME restaurant, similar renovations followed in other locations. With some locations still in the works we plan to continue to install bar areas in all of the Weathevane restaurants. With our newly renovated bars, the Weathervane is the perfect destination to hang out with a few friends or catch a game! If you haven’t come out to visit one of our bars, here is what you’ve been missing.

The Weathervane bars are fun, comfortable and lively—the kind of place where you don’t need to yell to the person next to you and have enough space for a group interested in catching the Pats, Bruins, Celtics or Sox while offering the casual intimacy for a couple looking to share a bottle of wine and a bite to eat.
Come on in with a friend or a group of friends—you’ll find just the right mood. Sitting at a Weathervane bar with friends watching the game is great, but delicious seafood and $5 margaritas make it even better!

Our happy hour offers daily drink specials, half-off appetizers and Shuck for a Buck. To put that into perspective, that means $4 fresh steamed mussels, $3 onion rings, $1 fresh oysters on the half-shell, and much more! On top of happy hour prices, all of our restaurants serve $5 margaritas—all day, every day.
If you are not ordering from our happy hour menu, we serve a few drinks that you can’t get anywhere else. The Absolut Shrimpy Mary and Absolut Lobster Mary are exactly what you think: a drink and a snack together. These delicious takes on a classic Bloody Mary come garnished with either a fresh cocktail shrimp or locally caught Maine lobster claw.
